SA Online Co-op

SA Online Co-op is a followup to Statewide. I provides a central list of Online U3A courses in SA that are open to enrolments from outside the host U3A. Enrolment is based at the host U3A within their fees and enrolment system.

If you are interested in the potential for online classes across the state you can subscribe and receive occasional Bulletins with updates and links to online courses that are available from some U3As. To register your email, click the blue link below. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Class Information

Are you a capable computer user but have a suspicion that you are missing useful skills? These Zoom workshops are to learn particular skills for personal efficiency and productivity – creating a website, managing everything with Notes, shared calendars, organising and printing images, managing emails and so on. Zoom provides intimate demonstration and practice, and there is homework!  (Next session from March will be Tues mornings.)

Teatree Gully has a face to face session that also joins the online session Heating Earth titled Cool It! The Climate and Us: How to live comfortably without damaging the environment.
Why are energy prices increasing and what can we do about it? Floods, bushfires, droughts, heatwaves: Are they due to climate change? How can we reduce our energy bills and have more comfortable homes? Solar and battery systems: Are they worth it and how to get the best out of them: Future Transport: Electric or hydrogen cars, flying taxis? Waste and Recycling: Is it worth it: How are we leading the world in South Australia? Presentations are well-researched and many given by experts in the topic. In addition to the face to face fortnightly meetings, participants can also join online sessions, on alternate weeks, with a number of guest lecturers.

The face to face sessions are held fortnightly on Tuesdays at 1.00pm at the odd numbered weeks of the terms (1st, 3rd…). The on line meetings are the same as the Heating Earth online sessions. Visit Teatree Gully https://myu3a01.myu3a.net/cgi-bin/u3ab/u006#no-back-button and select ‘Science’.
