Guest speakers from the UniSA Exercise Physiology Clinic

Mr Chris Flavel, Clinical Supervisor at the UniSA Exercise Physiology Clinic, is seeking opportunities for his students to present information on the human body, health, exercise, fitness etc. He previously held such presentations at Whyalla U3A branch some time ago, and reports the attendees found the information practical and useful.

If you have any openings over the coming months, please let him know, as he is happy to provide up to 2 guest speakers.

At this stage the offer is just for metropolitan Adelaide but country visits may happen at a later date.  He says there is no time limit on his offer though they probably require up to 4 weeks to prepare for the presentation, allocate a student, planning etc.

The presentations will be generally about keeping active in our later years, prevention and management of chronic diseases through a healthy lifestyle.  Covering such things as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, cancer and many more.

Contact details for Chris are: phone 8302 2078, email chris.flavel@unisa.edu.au
